Why we built Solis
It started with a simple question.
Why does growing up feel so lonely, even when we’re connected to everyone?
Somewhere between college, work, relationships, and trying to become the person you’re supposed to be, life gets confusing.
You overthink texts.
You question yourself.
You wonder if you’re making the right decisions.
Some days you just want someone to tell you, “You’re going to be okay.”
We turned to astrology, tarot, journaling, meditation. Anything that helped us make sense of what we were feeling. But every app felt cold. Or complicated. Or built to predict our future instead of helping us understand ourselves.
So we built the thing we wished existed. Not another astrology app.

How Solis works
We built the longest astrology calculation engine. Not guessed by AI.
We didn’t set out to build another AI app. We set out to build a spiritual companion that people could actually trust.
We listened first.
Before writing a single line of code, we spent months talking to people who regularly turned to astrology, tarot and spirituality. We kept hearing the same things.
“Every astrologer tells me something different.”
“I don't understand half the words they use.”
“I just want someone to explain my chart in a way that makes sense.”
“I tried asking ChatGPT, but I wasn't sure if I could trust the answer.”
Those conversations shaped everything we built.
We built the astrology first.
Instead of asking AI to interpret your birth chart, we built our own structured Vedic astrology engine. Your planetary positions are calculated first. The astrological principles are applied first. Only then does AI step in.
We validated it with astrologers.
Our framework was reviewed and refined with experienced astrologers, so every insight stays grounded in authentic Vedic astrology. Technology should make astrology more accessible, never replace the wisdom behind it.

Before launching, we opened Solis up to early users. Thousands of conversations later, we’re still improving it from real feedback.

We love ChatGPT. We use it ourselves. But ChatGPT wasn’t built to be a spiritual companion. One moment it’s helping someone debug code. The next it’s planning a holiday. Then it’s writing a wedding speech. Your birth chart is just one of millions of things it knows about.
We tried it ourselves
ChatGPT answered confidently, and still guessed the rising sign wrong: it said Capricorn, and the real rising sign is Pisces. In astrology, one wrong input makes everything after it wrong.
So we built something different. A system that starts with you, not just your prompt.
When you talk to Solis, your birth chart isn’t generated on the fly. It’s calculated by the Vedic astrology framework we built for this exact purpose. Only after that does AI turn those insights into a conversation that’s personal, supportive and easy to understand.
